This visa is a good opportunity for those who are considering to acquire permanent residency status in Australia under the Business Visa scheme. This provisional business visa allows those who have business skills to own and manage a business (the Business Innovation stream); conduct business and investment activity (the Investor stream, the Significant Investor stream, and the Premium Investor stream); or undertake an entrepreneurial activity (Entrepreneur stream) in Australia. This visa is the first stage before becoming eligible to qualify for the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888). This visa is valid for 4 years.
This is a permanent visa designed to attract business people who wish to establish a new business or develop an existing business in Australia. It has two streams: one is for high-caliber business owners who want to do business in Australia; the other is for people who have sourced venture capital funding from a member of the Australian Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL). As this visa is a permanent visa, it permits indefinite stay in Australia, unlimited work and study rights and an ability to apply for Australian Citizenship, when eligible.
This permanent visa is the second stage of the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188).It allows the visa holder to continue to manage their business and investments in Australia for an indefinite period. Like its prerequisite, the sc888 visa has five streams depending on the business level of contribution to the Australian economy. The stream the sc188 visa was granted under will determine which stream of the sc888 visa you qualify for. To be eligible for this visa, all the requirements of the sc188 provisional visa have been fulfilled.
